  I love it, when I come to an MD's office, and the staff is as knowledgeable, as supportive, and helpful about your medical issue, as if they were my own family members...I find it to be a true reflection of the MD in charge. This has been my experience with the care I received at Dr. Mary Lee Amerian's office. And, based on my previous interaction with dermatologists, it is a rarity. The difference is felt right with the response I get on the phone, which is courteous, and eager to find you an appointment as immediate and accommodating as your need might be. Never had to wait. Sometimes the appointment is made at a short notice of 30 minutes, as was my case yesterday, when I placed an emergency call due to a cut that happened to my arm. The swift attention I received spared me the threat of spending a painful and agonizing night...The staff displays an honest concern for my time. At the examination room, an assistant is there to prepare the "case" for a review by Dr. Amerian, so that the minute she gets in, I am able to get the treatment I need. If a follow-up visit is required, the appointment is scheduled right there and then, and a reminder call is made - or a card sent - ahead of time. All that on top of the professional care itself, which is handled with the most personal touch (yep!)...Never will I forget the time, when Dr. Amerian called me after hours, concerned about a medication I had told her was prescribed to me by another MD (a podiatrist), and asking about my reaction to it .
  As an English major, puns are my faves, so as I always tell the impeccably performing medical staff - "You are an 'A' team, and Dr. A's medical care is more than skin-deep!"
